Ski 2 Employment
Every year we look for hard-working, talented people to join our friendly teams in Champoluc in Italy and Les Gets in France. We are always on the lookout for chalet staff, qualified chefs, ski instructors, qualified nursery staff, resort staff and drivers for future seasons so that our customers have the best experience on their ski holiday.
We are often asked how to improve chances of getting a job in the Alps. These websites give some useful information:
Chalet Hosts (Les Gets)
Chalet Chefs (Les Gets)
You’ll also need to make an impression with your CV, so make sure you have a head and shoulder picture of yourself on your CV and ideally use a modern-style CV – there are lots of CV templates on the internet that you can use to make your CV stand out when it is sent to a prospective employer.
If you are looking for chalet work for the first time, then you might also want to consider enrolling on one of the courses run by companies like these:
Orchard Cookery School
Orchards Cookery is a multi-award winning family run cookery school that specialises in training and recruiting Chalet Cooks. The two week or five day residential courses are intensive but great fun with dinner parties in the evenings. The school has grown through word of mouth and reputation, it has 6 kitchens, a bar dancefloor and gym.
Class sizes are small, 8 students in each kitchen, with the fun of having up to 48 students and 26 staff at the school living on site at busy times. The school has links with a large numbers of ski companies and chalets and helps students with recruitment. The courses are taught by experienced seasonnaire chefs and cooks.
The Avenue Cookery School
The Chalet Host course at The Avenue Cookery School will teach you all you need to know for your job as a Chalet host. They are an extremely fun and family-run cookery school based in South West London.
Their popular 2-week hands-on course has been running since 2004 and has been designed by their chefs, who have completed their own chalet seasons. You will be taken from basic to brilliant in all the skills needed to complete your season successfully.
Accommodation options are available. See more details of their course here.
